Paula Abdul announced the nominees for this year’s “American Music Awards,” where Michael Jackson picked up five noms for his 2003 greatest hits collection.
Jackson is eligible because the AMAs go by sales and air play, not based on the year the material may have been released. The late singer is up for Artist of the Year, Pop Rock Male, Pop Rock Album, R&B/Soul Male and R&B/Soul Album.
